My week at Sedbergh Prep School: Sophia, Head of Girls Boarding

If I had to describe this week in three words, I would choose tiring, active and busy. It was the first week back, and there always seems to be a lot going on.

One of the biggest moments of the week was the Sponsored Walk. It was tiring in places, especially on the uphill sections, but it was also a good example of one of our Ways of the Wolf: kindness. I noticed people encouraging each other when they were tired and helping each other to keep going.

Not everything this week was easy. I found some of my maths prep challenging, so I asked a friend for help. Sometimes that is all you need to get going again.

In lessons, one of the things I enjoyed was learning some new words in French, and Games was my favourite lesson of the week. I also enjoyed hockey.

After busy days, it is nice to have time to relax too. Tuck night was one of my favourite parts of the week because it gives us a chance to switch off a little after a long day. I was also very happy when my parcels arrived!

It has been a busy start back, but there have already been lots of good moments. I hope next week is another good one.
