Travel Information

Requests for transfers at the start and end of term (check dates), School holidays and exeat should be made via the Reach Prtal.

A request must be made for each journey 10 days prior to the day of travel.

If travel arrangements do not fit within our travel windows you can request permission via the Reach app.

The form should only be filled in by parents or a guardian and NOT pupils.

DEPARTURES

FLIGHTS

• All short-haul flight departures must be after 6pm and then within 24hrs after school finishing
• All long-haul flights departures must to be after 7pm and within 24hrs of school finishing

FERRYS

• All ferry routes should be after 6pm on the date of travel and within 24hrs of school finishing

TRAINS

• Train departures must be after 2pm on the day and then within 24hrs after school finishing
• We can transfer pupils to Oxenholme & Garsdale train stations. Cost per trip will depend on the number of pupils travelling together.
• Outbound shuttles to Oxenholme Station leave school at 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm

ARRIVALS:

FLIGHTS

• At the start of terms & half terms, pupils can arrive from 4pm on the Saturday if they cannot find flights to the UK on the Sunday. All pupils must be back in House before 6pm.

FERRYS

• At the start of terms & half terms, pupils can arrive from 4pm on the Saturday if they cannot find a ferry to the UK on the Sunday. All pupils must be back in House before 6pm.

TRAINS

• Return shuttles from Oxenholme to return to school are at 4.30pm & 5.30pm.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Chaperone Coach Service are ONLY available for Exeats & Half Terms
• Speech day – school finishes at 4pm
• Most pupils fly to Manchester Airport where we will have a reception team on the ground during the travel windows. Transfers to Manchester will be at a set cost (reviewed annually). Transfer to and from other UK airports can be made with costs depending on numbers of pupils and distance.
