Friday 11th September: ‘From Tags & Train Lines to the Global Stage’
Presented by: JAPH — Artist & Graffiti Writer
What began with spray cans, tags, railway lines and working under cover of darknesshas developed into a global art form.
Join artist Japh for a highly visual journey through the evolution of graffiti — from its underground roots and connections with hip hop, breakdancing, music and youth culture, to an international scene embraced by galleries, collectors, brands and major artistic events.
Drawing upon his own remarkable journey, Japh will take us inside a world that once operated largely beyond public view: night-time missions, disguises, bombing trains, avoiding detection and earning respect through originality and technical skill.
