New Lancashire bus route strengthens links with Sedbergh

New route will support families travelling from Lytham and the surrounding areas.

Sedbergh Prep School is introducing a new bus route for families in Lancashire, strengthening connections between Sedbergh and the wider North West.

The new Lytham route follows an increase in registrations and enquiries from the area. It will provide another option for children travelling to and from Sedbergh Prep School, supporting both day pupils and those choosing weekly or flexible boarding.

The service reflects growing interest from Lancashire families considering schools beyond their immediate area. For some, joining Sedbergh Prep School also provides a natural pathway into Sedbergh School from Year 9, with pupils already familiar with the wider Sedbergh community and its distinctive educational setting.

A small number of places remain available at Sedbergh Prep School and Sedbergh School for the forthcoming academic year. The Admissions Team will be available throughout the summer to discuss entry at different stages, explain day and boarding arrangements and arrange individual visits.

Sedbergh’s residential summer courses will continue until 6 August, with children taking part in programmes including rugby, hockey, netball, cricket and other sports and activities. Families visiting during this period will be able to see both the Prep and Senior School sites in use and gain a sense of the wider Sedbergh campus and community.
