“Every year, I’m delighted to congratulate the newly appointed leaders of our School. These exceptional pupils are strong role models of our School values: humility, ambition, resilience, and kindness. Our values are fundamental to life at Sedbergh School, and as leaders of the School community, these pupils positively influence other pupils through their actions and attitudes.” Dan Harrison, Headmaster, Sedbergh School
Whilst we welcome the new School leaders, Livi – the outgoing Head of School, reflected on her experiences and the insights she gained. Amongst all of the opportunities she had, Livi’s favourite was meeting different OS, learning about their time at Sedbergh, and discovering their post-Sedbergh achievements. She believes a moment that will stay in her mind forever was the indescribable feeling of standing at the centre of the Remembrance Day ceremony, surrounded by the whole school and parents, with the band in front; it was incredibly moving. Livi says that serving as Head of School taught her to develop a tough skin and emphasised the importance of staying true to herself. Her advice to the new Head of School is to remain authentic and savour every moment because the time flies by.
