Sedbergh School announces 2026–2027 Heads of School and Prefects

Sedbergh School is pleased to announce the appointment of its Heads of School and pupil leadership team for 2026–2027.

The appointments recognise pupils who have shown a strong commitment to the life of the School and who will play an important role in supporting the wider Sedbergh community in the year ahead.

For 2026–2027, Daisy [Lupton] and Ramsay [Winder] have been appointed Heads of School. They will be supported by Deputy Heads of School, Ginny and Hugo, as well as Prefects and Heads of House, who together will help to represent pupil voice, support younger pupils and contribute to the tone and culture of the School. Daisy and Ramsay were both amongst our top GCSE pupils in 2024.

Headmaster, Mr Robin Pyper, said:

“Leadership at Sedbergh is not about status; it is about service, responsibility and the example you set for others. Our Heads of School are entrusted with helping to shape the tone of the community—through their presence, their judgement and the way they support those around them. I am delighted to congratulate them and the wider pupil leadership team, and I look forward to working with them as they represent pupil voice with integrity, uphold our values and help ensure that every pupil feels part of, and proud of, the School.”

Pupil leadership is an important part of life at Sedbergh. Across Houses, year groups, co-curricular activities and the wider boarding community, pupils are encouraged to take responsibility, look out for others and contribute positively to School life.

The 2026–2027 pupil leadership team will work closely with staff and pupils throughout the year, helping to welcome new pupils, support School events, uphold Sedbergh’s values and provide a visible example of service, kindness and responsibility.

We warmly congratulate all pupils appointed to leadership roles for the year ahead.
